Who's miserable? Not me! All I need is to admit that what I am and who YOU
are makes me have a full life. The YOU I am referring to, of course, is Jesus.
Revelation 3:17 says, "...thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods,
and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and
miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:"
There is that word "miserable". To me that word is the strongest one used in
that verse because it includes being in a state of not having peace of mind.
I can put up with the other words, but I want a little peace so that I can lay
down at night and sleep. All the "riches and increased goods", can't buy
that inner peace that comes from knowing God and being obedient. It is
only in Him that we find security, strength for daily living and a lot of peace.
I don't want to suddenly realize that I am one of those who is called "miserable".
