Are we becoming comfortably confused between good and evil? The difference
between someone who has money and those who don't is not that the rich sin
more, it is just that they call what they do different names. When the poor sin,
they not only call it sin, but so do the rich. When the poor does something good
it is seen in a brighter light because they are poor and not expected to do such
things. When someone who has money is generous with what they have, it is
not always looked at as a big deal, after all they should, we say.
Mark 12:41-44 has an account of a poor widow who put all she had (two mites)
into the collection plate. In verse 44 Jesus explains, "For they all put in out of
their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had, her whole
livelihood." Think of that and let it impact you today!
