"Our Father, which art in Heaven." That is: Children addressing their Father.
The only lesson the disciples asked Jesus to teach them was how to pray.
Isn't that interesting? We usually bring our needs to God in prayer, but that
same lesson teaches us today that we put things in proper order. First,
His name, then the assurance of where He is and that He is over all!

God wants us to think of Him as a Father who is in that supreme place called
Heaven. We, as His children, are under His care and control, also, as His children,
we have expectations from Him. That is why we can boldly come to seek our needs
from Him. Look today at that famous prayer found in Matthew 6:9 and make it personal.

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.
Amen!
