Thank goodness, I have never met a roaring lion! I remember seeing one in
a cage one time, but nothing up close and personal, if you know what I mean.
I do know what it says in 1 Peter 5:8, "Be sober, be vigilant, because your
adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may
devour." I get that picture just as clearly as I get the idea that I don't want
to touch a hot iron to see how hot it really is. The part that says, "be sober"
is the part I had to do some research on and found that it means be serious,
keep your wits about you. So it says to me, be careful, guard yourself against
the kind of thing that will attack you on a moment's notice. I don't want to meet
up with a lion and I certainly don't want to come face to face with Satan either,
how about you?
